Terms & Conditions
The Prize:
The prize is a Cactus Language 10 week or 5 week (20 hours) evening course at a Cactus Language partner school in the UK or US.

The prize of the Cactus Language evening course must be redeemed by the 1st October 2014 and is subject to the minimum required number of students (4) booking the course and availability. The chosen Cactus Language course must be booked 1 week prior to the start date of the course. The prize excludes the course book and travel to and from the school.

Entry is free but the applicant must have attended a Cactus Language 10 or 5 week evening course or a 7 week Saturday course in the fourth academic term (September to December 2013) in either the UK or US.
The prize must be redeemed in a single transaction as stated and cannot be deferred, transferred, changed or refunded. Usual booking terms and conditions apply. There will be no cash alternatives.
Use of Copyright:
Entries will be submitted to and displayed on Twitter with the #CactusLE and may be displayed on and not limited to the Cactus Language website and social media sites such as Facebook, Pinterest, Flicker, Google + and LinkedIn.
Entrants will retain copyright of the photographs that they submit to Twitter with the #CactusLE.
By entering the competition all entrants grant to Cactus Language the right to publish and exhibit their photographs on printed and digital media. No fees will be payable for any of the above uses. Entrants whose photographs make the final selection also agree to take part in post-competition publicity.
Winning entry:
All submitted photographs will be judged on their suitability to the theme of:
"Cactus Language Experience"
One winner will be selected and notified by email within 10 days of the prize draw.
If the prize notification email is returned as undeliverable or the winner does not respond within 14 days of notification, the prize will be deemed unclaimed and will be re-drawn.
By entering into this prize draw, the winner agrees to have his / her details (first name, last name initial and city) and winning photograph used in related publicity including, but not limited to the Cactus Language website, social media networks and the Cactus E-Newsletter both before, during and / or after the competition.
Winners also agree to write a short review / case study on their Cactus Language evening course for use on but not limited to Cactus Language's blog, social networks and E-Newsletter.
The winner will not be entitled to take part in future prize draws in this series.
Closing date:
Closing date for entries is 11:00am GMT Closing date for entries is 11:00am GMT Friday 13th December 2013. The winning photograph will be selected by a member of the Cactus Language Team.
Entries:
All entrants must be 18 years of age or over and must be attending a Cactus Language 10 or 5 week evening course either in the UK or the US for the time period of the fourth academic term (September to December 2013).
Entrants can only enter in their own name. The Promoter, Cactus Language, reserves the right to request proof of residency at the stated address and identification for verification (to the Promoter's satisfaction at its discretion) before issuing the prize.
You can submit as many photographs as you want to the Cactus Language Facebook wall, or Twitter with the #CactusLE or e-mail the entry to marketing@cactusworldwide.com but there will be just one winner.
All entries must be the original photographs of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party. The entrants must be the sole owner of copyright in all comments entered and must have obtained permission of any people featured in the entries or their parents / guardians if children under the age of 16 years are featured. Further, entrants must not have breached any laws when taking their photographs.
Incorrect, incomplete or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid. No responsibility is accepted for ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently. Entries containing and / or depicting illegal, sexually explicit or morally or racially offensive content will be ineligible to win and will be removed.
The Promoter's decision to disqualify an entry is final and no correspondence will be entered into. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries.
Participation:
Employees of Cactus Language, their immediate families and any other parties involved in this promotion are not eligible to enter.
Cactus Language is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in or down-loading any materials in this promotion.
By entering, participants agree to be bound by these rules. Cactus Language reserves the right to exclude any entry from the competition at any time if it has reason to believe that an entrant has breached these rules.
The competition:
UK or US laws as appropriate, apply to this promotion to the exclusion of any other law.
These terms and conditions may be amended or varied at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on the Cactus Language website and the Cactus Language social media sites. It is the participants' responsibility to ensure you review these terms and conditions regularly to familiarise yourself with any changes.
We recommend that you print and store or save a copy of these terms and conditions for future reference.
Cactus Language, the promoter, reserves the right to alter, amend or foreclose this free prize draw without prior notice, in the event that unforeseen circumstances make this unavoidable.
All decisions relating to the draw will be at the discretion of Cactus Language and will be final. No correspondence will be entered into.
Cactus Language will not be responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of, or in connection with this promotion, if the deficiency is occasioned by any cause outside its reasonable control, including without limitation technical malfunctions or failures.
In the event of war / terrorism / state of emergency / disaster / circumstance or another force majeure beyond the control of Cactus Language, it reserves the right to cancel the course. Cactus Language will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prize except for any liability, which cannot be excluded by law (in which case such liability is limited to the maximum extent allowable by law).
Tax implications may arise from the receipt or use of a prize. Independent financial advice should be sought.
This promotion is in no way sponsored / endorsed / administered by / associated with Facebook. Participants understand and agree that they are providing their information to Cactus Language and not to Facebook. By entering this competition, each participant releases Facebook from any action or claim arising out of the competition. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding this competition must be directed to Cactus Language, not Facebook.
You accept these terms and conditions when you enter a competition, together with any specific terms for such competition which may be mentioned in any messages or on this website ("competition information"). If you do not agree with any of these terms and conditions then you should not enter the competition. If there is any inconsistency between these competition terms and conditions and any such competition information, the competition information shall prevail.
