Teacher Development Workshop with Guest Speaker Makkie Malyari
Open to all Cactus Language teachers, Cactus partner-school teachers, and certified English language teachers, the next Cactus Language seminar will be held on the 12th December 2015 at St. Giles School, Russell Square, London. The seminar is free to attend and will focus on practical ideas and activities that can be taken away and used immediately in your next lessons. Cactus’ guest speaker DELTA trainer Makkie Malyari will address the importance and role of context in the language teaching classroom, whilst providing useful, tangible examples for creating guided discovery activities and conducting genuine free practice tasks.
An expert at fostering a positive learning environment where the students do most of the hard work, Makkie will show you how to ensure tangible progression for your students whilst making your lessons enjoyable, communicative and student-focussed.

With over 20 years’ experience in language teaching Makkie Malyari is a multilingual CELTA and DELTA qualified teacher, and CELTA and DELTA teacher trainer, having worked for International House, Trinity Board of Examinations, Cambridge Examinations and Teaching House, she regularly presents at IATEFL.
